Classical Guitar Society of Northern Ireland

The Classical Guitar Society of Northern Ireland aims to promote locally the classical guitar and its music. The Society meets once a month in the Ulster College of Music and is open to players of all ages and abilities as well as those who simply have an interest in the classical guitar.

The Society meetings provide an opportunity for amateur players to perform for each other in a supportive environment, and experienced players are on hand to offer advice and encouragement.

The Society Ensemble will be playing a broad range of pieces, from early Baroque music to Irish pieces by O'Carolan, as well as music from film. There will also be duet and solo performances including works by Sergio Assad and Egberto Gismonti.
