Gary Lutton is an acclaimed guitarist, composer and researcher based in Belfast. His style blends contemporary fingerstyle guitar techniques with improvisational approaches, borrowed from jazz and world music.
In 2015, Gary won Sky Arts’ Guitar Star, and subsequently toured with Thomas Leeb, Nitin Sawhney and many others. He then went on to complete his PhD in music at Ulster University, and to form the fusion/world group, Dionys Ensemble.
Gary Lutton also runs the Belfast Guitar Night, a regular event featuring artists such as Clive Carroll, Thomas Leeb and Karlijn Langendijk.
