Learn the techniques of Fingerstyle Guitar in this workshop with Shane Hennessy.

Shane will lead participants through a number of demos and exercises including thumb/finger independence, using a backbeat, arranging music for solo guitar, bringing in non-guitar influences, compositional approaches, fretboard visualisation, right-hand picking techniques, improvisation, dynamic range, finger exercises and warmups, getting a good, amplified sound, the music industry as it relates to solo performers, and lots more.

Attendees of all skill levels are welcome to bring their guitars.

To get the most out of this workshop, attendees are advised to come with questions about any area of guitar playing and music they would like to understand further.

Suitable for guitarists aged 16yrs and over
