Karlijn Langendijk will be performing in a line up featuring three of Europe's most talented female guitarists - alongside Judith Beckedorf and Sophie Chassée - for a superb one-off evening of extraordinary playing at the Queen's Hall.
Karlijn Langendijk from Uitgeest, The Netherlands, grew up surrounded by acoustic guitar music and started playing the guitar at the age of 13.
Inspired by many different music genres and cultures, Karlijn mixes them together into a completely unique style. During her live concerts she confidently alternates between dreamy ballads, rhythmical grooves, arrangements of well-known songs and conjures vivid storytelling of her experiences.
In 2018 she cofounded MusiSHEans – a community to support and empower female musicians who should be heard for their music and not be judged on their looks or sex appeal. In 2019 Karlijn finished her Master of Music in “Acoustic Guitar” at the Hochschule für Musik in Dresden (DE). A multi-award-winning artist, Music Radar placed Karlijn 6th in the Top 10 of “Acoustic Guitarist of the Year 2020”.
She has toured worldwide and shared the stage with musicians like Tommy Emmanuel and Peter Finger. Her latest album “ATLAS”, also her solo debut, was released in March 2022
