Matthew Malcolm, originally from Larne and now based in Newtownards, has been on the Northern Ireland music scene for over the past nine years. Described by BBC Radio Ulster’s Across The Line as 'acoustic mastery.'

As a contemporary acoustic guitarist, Matthew Malcolm's music has a strong instrumental melodic focus typified by alternative tunings with percussive elements, influenced by artists such as Tommy Emmanuel and Pierre Bensusan; while his lyrics and vocal melodies more inspired by rock and indie.

Matthew's original material has seen him win the 2014 Banbridge Buskfest and perform at a range of festivals including Sunflowerfest, The Atlantic Sessions, Ards International Guitar Festival, Belfast Guitar Festival and many more.

Matthew is planning to release his first full length album Superimpose in 2023, including the title track from his 2015 debut EP Gravity as well as brand new tracks.
