Widely regarded as one of the world’s finest acoustic guitarists, Andy McKee is known for his youthful energy and strong sense of melody and songcraft, establishing him as one of the most distinctive and influential guitarists today.
His performances captivate both the eye and the ear as he transforms the steel‑string guitar into a full orchestra - through the use of altered tunings, tapping, partial capos, percussive techniques and his signature two‑handed approach.
McKee’s crossover success has earned him millions of YouTube views and established him as one of today’s most distinctive and influential guitarists. His piece ‘Drifting’ became an early viral sensation, approaching 60 million views. He has appeared on the covers of Acoustic Guitar Magazine in the U.S. and Acoustic Magazine in the UK, and he curates the annual Musicarium guitar retreat.
His global touring schedule includes Europe, Asia, Australia and North America, along with performances alongside artists such as Dream Theater and Tommy Emmanuel. Andy visits the festival fresh from the release of his new six-track EP Symbol, his first new release in nearly a decade.
